Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the doors to the surgery will remain locked during the day. Only people with a pre-approved appointment will be admitted. This is to reduce unnecessary visits to the surgery for any reason. We need to take measures that will keep you, our other patients and our staff safe and well.
In line with government guidance we have changed all our GP appointments to telephone triage.
If you ring to make an appointment the receptionist will take your details and symptoms and one of our clinical team will call you back. Where possible they will treat you remotely. If they feel that they need to see you in person then they will allocate you with an appointment time.
If you want to avoid the phone queue you can use our on-line consultation system called e-Consult which is available via our website home page. This enables you to complete one of a number of different questionnaires appropriate to your symptoms or condition. Using e-Consult is simple to use and also contains extensive self help and signposting resources
You can register to use the NHS App for ordering repeat medication. If you have a passport or photo - driving licence you can register for this app without having to come to the surgery. You can also use patient online services for repeat medication ordering and an application for this service is available on the surgery website.
The website contact form should not be used for other clinical queries about you or another person including any changes to repeat medication. You must use e-consult or call the practice.
Patients are welcome to be accompanied at their consultations by a friend or relative. We will arrange for a chaperone to be present during a consultation as required by the clinician and/or patient.
We have access to Language line and can arrange consultations with global accent and a deaf interpreter.
The doctor/nurses are happy to give telephone advice to patients where appropriate. Please give your details and contact telephone number to the receptionist and the doctor/nurses will call you back.
An eConsult can be submitted for clinical and administrative queries. Your query will be triaged and you will be contacted by text, phone, email with a management plan.
The nurse and doctors may use video consultations to assess your symptoms. They will call you first and send you the appropriate link.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
